Program note 

This piece is an exploration of the potential of the interaction between violin and electronics, and seeks to explore a dialectic between the fusion and contrast of these media. At times, the perceptual boundaries between the provenance of the instrumental medium and that of the electroacoustic medium become blurred; at other times, their boundaries are so accentuated that their coexistence results in conflicts. 

The poetic prose that accompanies the score illustrates this dialectic in the form of an impasse between impetus and fear, where the lyrical self wavers between the eagerness to phagocytize the world and the phobia of experiencing it.
