She studied composition and theoretical music at the CIEM receiving the degree of Master in Composition and Bachelor in Theoretical Music endorsed by the London College of Music. 

Chamizo has been a recipient of the scholarship Jóvenes Creadores, awarded by the National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA) in 2019 and in 2022. She also won the scholarship Cátedra Extraordinaria Arturo Márquez in 2018, granted by the National Autonomous University of Mexico. 

Her works have been performed by ensembles and orchestras in Mexico, as well as in Argentina, Canada, Colombia, USA, Wales and Ukraine. 

She is currently a professor and academic coordinator at CIEM, and clarinetist in Camerata Opus 11.
