He studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico with Leonardo Coral, Gabriela Ortiz and Francisco Cortés-Álvarez. 

In 2019 he won the Cátedra Extraordinaria Arturo Márquez, in which he took classes with this renowned Mexican composer for a year. In 2020 he received a scholarship from the Jóvenes Creadores program, awarded by the National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA).
