Presentation
The Cuban-Mexican pianist Ana Gabriela Fernández, based in Paris, presents this program featuring a representative selection of Mexican piano music from the final decades of the twentieth century and the early decades of the twenty-first. The recital brings into dialogue the voices of established composers such as Arturo Márquez and Gabriela Ortiz with those of younger generations. Several of the scores featured in the program have been published by Sur.

Ana Gabriela Fernández, piano
Born in Havana, Ana Gabriela Fernández is a Mexican pianist recognized for the precision of her approach and her sustained commitment to contemporary repertoire. She has premiered works by leading figures in composition in Mexico and Latin America, while maintaining a repertoire that spans the twentieth century to recent creations. With a growing presence on the international scene, Fernández works closely with ensembles, cultural institutions, and publishers dedicated to new music.
