Presentation
Mexican pianist Diego Sánchez-Villa presents a concert bringing together recent works by composers from Mexico and Brazil, two of the most active centers of contemporary music creation in Latin America. The program features a dialogue not only between voices from both countries, but also across generations, from Brazilian composer and professor Alexandre Lunsqui to the young Mexican composer Alhelí Pérez.
The concert is a partnership between the Instituto de Artes of the Universidade Estadual Paulista and the Mexican publishing house Sur – editores de música contemporánea, which has published some of the scores featured in the program.
